Exploring the Arts
Broadway may be the first thing that comes to mind when thinking of the arts in New York City, but there are other places of similar appeal in the Big Apple.

Other notable artistic destinations include: the Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts, Carnegie Hall and the Metropolitan Museum of Arts. These are just a few of the more than 2,000 art and cultural organizations that exist in this one city.
Seeing the Sights
Of course, a visit to New York City would not be complete without seeing some of the iconic sights. Historically, the Empire State Building has been one of the major things to see while in the largest city in America, and the Chrysler Building is another interesting piece of history.

Perhaps most notable is the Statue of Liberty, which is a must see for anyone visiting. More recently, the One World Trade Center was completed (due to open in 2014), and it will offer visitors the tallest building in the city and one of the tallest in the world.
